EXPERIENCED STYLIST
Body Mind Spirit Salon and Day Spa is a welcoming boutique salon located in Groton, Massachusetts. We are a Green Circle Salon, recycling most of our waste. We are also a Covid-19 Hygienically Clean Salon.
Our Salon Stylists are beauty service professionals who specialize in the fashioning and treatment of hair. If you’d like to be a part of our team, continue reading!
What you will bring to our team:
-
the ability to Shampoo, Cut, Color and Highlight hair including formal updo’s and braiding
-
a desire to listen to clients’ concerns to determine their preferences and the ability to discuss and recommend stylistic options for clients’ hair
-
the ability to Perform Scalp Treatments
-
a desire to learn about and promote hair care products and their benefits, including retail
-
an interest in creating a warm, friendly welcome for our clients by accompanying them to and from their service location, offering salon refreshments and sincerely thanking them on departure
-
the skill to maintain relationships with existing clientele and the ability to attract new clientele
-
the management of online bookings with through the salon’s software to ensure return visits
-
the willingness to adhere to salon cleanliness standards, safety protocols, and policies
-
the interest to keep up to date on trends and styling methods
-
the motivation to continue advanced education and skill enhancement
-
the interest to be part of a professional team, working to meet revenue goals, ensure client retention, and share in general salon responsibilities of cleaning, laundry, and maintaining strict Covid-hygiene practices
Salon Stylist Requirements:
-
High School graduate, or GED equivalent
-
Licensed from a state approved Cosmetology School or program
-
Physical stamina to be on your feet for up to an 8 hour shift
-
Excellent verbal communication skills are of the utmost importance
-
Proficiency with tools including hot irons, curlers, and blow dryers
-
Multi-Licensed is desirable, not mandatory

EXPERIENCED ESTHETICIAN

Our Estheticians are licensed skincare professional who provide facials, hair removal and other treatments to help maintain clients' personal appearance. If you’d like to be a part of our team, continue reading!
Our Esthetician should:
-
Be able to provide waxing, facials, body treatments, and makeup applications and lessons.

Adhere to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule.
-
Welcome clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
-
Interview clients to obtain information about contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate suitability of treatments.
-
Advise clients on skin care, and recommending suitable treatments and home care regimens.

Maintain product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, and retail products.
-
Adhere to esthetics policies pertaining to chemical usage, and cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance of equipment.

Care for linens and replacing them between sessions.
Esthetician Requirements:

State licensure to practice as an Esthetician

Proficient in performing all applicable treatments
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Outstanding people skills and warm, friendly manner
-
Possess the ability to maintain client confidentiality
Lash Work is a PLUS!
Being Multi-Licensed is desirable, but not mandatory.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Estheticians interested in offering other salon services may need to obtain additional licensure.
Continuing education courses are necessary in some states to maintain a valid license.
